Raised in small town of Rudrapur, Uttarakhand (India), Dr. Himanshu Bansal completed his medical school residency and post-graduation in orthopedic surgery from King George Medical College Lucknow. During his post-graduation itself, he actively pursued research on spinal cord injury. He further enriched himself at Osaka City University Hospital (Japan), Aarhus University Hospital (Denmark), Guy’s Hospital of Kings College (London) and Wurzburg University Hospital (Germany).

Because of his interest for striving excellence in management of CNS disorders and spinal cord injury, he undertook various visits and research associations at Miami project to cure paralysis (Miami University), Reeve-Irvine Research Center (California), Queen Elizabeth Spinal Trauma Centre (Glasgow), Neuroscience Center – Rutgers University (USA), Egaz Monis Hospital (Lisbon), European Spinal Cord Research Institute (Brescia), The Institute of Experimental Medicine (Prague), Beatson Institute – University of Glasgow, Saint Gerkatuen Hospital (Berlin).

He is actively involved in clinical research with autologous bone marrow, fat derived adult Pluripotent VSEL and MUSE stem cells in Orthopedic and Neurodegenerative diseases. Pioneered several new protocols for treatment of Optic Atrophy, Brain and Spinal cord injury, ALS, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Osteoarthritis, non-union ligament and tendon injuries with corresponding publication in national and international high impact factor journals

Dr. Bansal is widely recognized for his patented Interlocking Nailing System for fractures of Radius and Ulna, Brain death reversal research (first time in world), exceptional work on high Yield PRP Processing and Dose studies for various indications, Development of Sonication system for non-enzymatic fat processing and exosome isolation from autologous tissues including blood.

He has been invited as speaker at various conferences and symposium in India and across world, as well as Chief Collaborator in the Graduate Institute Geneva project titled “The Emergence of Stem Cell Biotechnologies”.
