Dr. Marleine graduated in 1994 from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon as Doctor in Pharmacy. She received the Board-Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist (BCNSP) in 2007 and the Board-Certified Pharmacology Specialist (BCPS) in 2009 from the American Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties, then she received a certificate for Practitioner in Health Quality (CPHQ) in 2011 and she became certified in Medical Quality from the American Board of Medical Quality in 2019.
Throughout her career she established a pharmacist-based preparation of sterile Parenteral Nutrition solutions following ASPEN (American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) guidelines and helped in the establishment of pharmacist-based preparation of chemotherapy following OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) guidelines, CIVA (centralized IV admixture) service and unit dose distribution service at Mafraq Hospital.
Dr. Marleine believes in multidisciplinary approach to patient care and patient safety where pharmacist role is to assure medication safety at every step of medication distribution from procurement till distribution.
She is also an advocate of the importance of communication among health care providers to assure continuity of care and also proper education and training at every step of care delivery.
Dr. Marleine was a speaker in the first ADPHAC, DUPHAT, Medication Safety Conference, Al Noor Hospital Conference and Burjeel Hospital Conference. She was involved in the preparation for the JCIA accreditation taken by Mafraq hospital.
