Prof. Zbigniew Ruszczak is a Professor of Dermatology and an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Khalifa University (KU CMHS), Abu Dhabi. He is currently a Senior Consultant in Dermatology, Allergy, Pediatric Dermatology and Wound Management at Medical Park Consultant – One Day Surgery Center in Abu Dhabi.
Since KU CMHS’s inception in 2019, Prof. Zbigniew has been a Director of the “Integumentary System” course and served as an Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education.
With over 35 years of experience in clinical dermatology, academic education, innovative biotechnology industry, and creation and administration of dermatology departments in Europe and the Middle East, his professional skills are focused on high-end tertiary/academic level of Adults, Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology, Rare and Genetic Skin Diseases and Skin Immunology.
For last 10 years he has been Co-President and Chairman of the International Clinical Case & Poster Presentation Sessions and Competition of the Dubai International Dermatology Conference and Exhibition (Dubai Derma).
Prof. Ruszczak presented over 600 lectures at national and international conferences and published over 140 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and numerous book chapters. He is Associate Editor of the “Dermatologic Therapy”, a leading dermatology journal published by John Willey & Sons/Hindawi and active scientific reviewer for world leading medical publishers.
Prof. Ruszczak’s main fields of interest are Clinical Dermatology, Genetic Skin Diseases, Allergy Diagnostic and Treatment, Innovative Wound Management, and the Galenic Formulation of Drugs.
